As many of you know on August 21st, 2025, our 14-year-old yorkie Zoey went in for surgery to remove all but two of her teeth and stabilize her jaw due to a bilateral broken jaw. Before entering surgery, we also found out through blood work that Zoey was suffering from kidney disease. Surgery was touch and go and recovery after surgery was rough as well.

We believed that Zoey was slowly beginning to improve, however last week Zoey took a turn for the worse and began vomiting and refusing to eat and drink. We took her back in to be checked and found out she had lost over a pound since surgery, and she was in kidney failure. The surgery had taken too much of a toll on her tiny little body, and we had to make the difficult decision to let her go. On September 4th, 2025 Zoey crossed over the rainbow bridge wrapped in my arms and covered in my kisses! She will be forever missed!
